September 29th 1993. Today is Edith's 15th birthday and she has just received a gift from her best friend Allyn: two tickets to see her favorite band, Primus, at Roseland! Edith is super excited and already contemplating what she'll wear on the big night. Hmmm...maybe she'll rock the ridiculous ensemble she's sporting today. From top to bottom: a mushroom-shaped woolen hat, pre-crazy Courtney Love-style baby-doll dress "rescued" from the $1 bins at the old uptown Alice Underground, long sleeved thermal shirt, black leggings, white tube socks and, oh yeah, combat boots. What's that smell you ask? Why it's teen spirit, of course. |
